Parnell Hall

Parnell Hall has written 5 books across 1 series. Start with Teddy Fay. Parnell Hall contributes to Teddy Fay (created by Stuart Woods).

Parnell Hall (1944-2020) was an American mystery novelist best known for two long-running comic series of his own: the Stanley Hastings mysteries, featuring a would-be actor turned reluctant private investigator, and the Puzzle Lady mysteries, which incorporated real crossword and sudoku puzzles into the story. He was a two-time Shamus Award winner and a familiar, prolific voice in American cozy and comic mystery fiction for over three decades.

Late in his career he also worked as a co-author with Stuart Woods, credited on entries in Woods' Teddy Fay series and at least one Herbie Fisher novel; his last such collaboration was published in mid-2020, the year of his death. In this catalogue he appears specifically for those Stuart Woods co-writing credits, distinct from his own solo series.
