About the Teddy Fay series
Teddy Fay is a former CIA technical officer and master of disguise who first appeared as a recurring character across Stuart Woods's Stone Barrington and Holly Barker novels years before getting his own numbered series. Smooth Operator (2016), the first Teddy Fay novel proper, sends him into a new life as a Hollywood makeup artist and sometime problem-solver for the Barrington/Bacchetti dynasty of movie people, using his old tradecraft to handle threats that fall outside official channels; the series that follows mixes espionage plotting with Woods's Hollywood/CIA crossover universe, keeping Teddy tied to the extended Stone Barrington cast (Peter and Hattie Barrington, Lance Cabot's CIA) throughout. Stuart Woods co-wrote every entry through Obsession (2023) with a rotating set of collaborators -- mystery novelist Parnell Hall for the first four books, Bryon Quertermous for Jackpot (2021), and thriller writer Brett Battles for Obsession, completed after Woods's July 2022 death. Battles has written every entry since as sole author under the 'Stuart Woods' branding.
