Brett Battles

Brett Battles is an American thriller novelist who took over Stuart Woods's Stone Barrington and Teddy Fay series after Woods's death in July 2022. Battles had built his own career as a thriller writer before that point, publishing spy and espionage novels across several series of his own; when Woods died partway through what became Near Miss (2023), Battles completed the manuscript, and the Woods estate credited both authors with Battles's contribution marked as a continuation. Since then he has written every subsequent Stone Barrington novel solo, along with Teddy Fay's Golden Hour (2024) and Blown Away (2025), continuing both series' established casts, house style and 'Stuart Woods' series branding with the estate's blessing. In this catalogue Battles appears as the credited continuation author on Stone Barrington from Near Miss (2023) onward, and on Teddy Fay from Obsession (2023) onward. His own solo thriller catalogue outside the Woods estate work is not currently tracked here.
