From This Day Forward is a marriage-of-convenience trilogy from Debbie Macomber's early-1990s Silhouette Special Edition years: three couples who marry first, for practical reasons, and find real love only after the wedding. Groom Wanted opens the set with Julia Conrad marrying Russian biochemist Aleksandr Berinski to keep him from deportation; Bride Wanted and Marriage Wanted follow with their own arranged unions turning unexpectedly heartfelt. Harlequin reissued all three novels in 2021 under new titles -- First Comes Love, Head Over Heels, and Unexpectedly in Love -- introducing the same trilogy to a new generation of readers.
Each book is a self-contained romance sharing only the trilogy's marriage-of-convenience premise, not ongoing characters -- classic, efficient category-romance comfort reading from early in Macomber's career.
Three: Groom Wanted, Bride Wanted, and Marriage Wanted, all published in 1993.
Harlequin reissued the trilogy in 2021 under new titles -- Groom Wanted as First Comes Love, Bride Wanted as Head Over Heels, and Marriage Wanted as Unexpectedly in Love. The stories are unchanged.
No -- each book follows a different couple and stands alone, though all three share the trilogy's marry-first-fall-in-love-later premise.
No -- both are repackaged bind-up editions. An Engagement in Seattle (2011) combines Groom Wanted and Bride Wanted; Looking for a Hero (2018) combines Marriage Wanted with the unrelated novella My Hero. Neither contains new material, so neither is tracked here as a separate entry.
