Author

Tarryn Fisher

Tarryn Fisher has written 19 books across 2 series. Start with Love Me with Lies.

Tarryn Fisher is an American author known for dark, morally complicated romance and psychological suspense, including novels such as Mud Vein, The Wives, and the Love Me With Lies trilogy. Her books tend to favor unreliable narrators, unlikeable or ambiguous protagonists, and twisty plotting over conventional romance beats, and she built a substantial independent-author following well before her more recent traditionally published releases.

Fisher is best known outside her solo work for co-writing the Never Never trilogy with Colleen Hoover, a serialized young-adult psychological thriller about two teenagers who wake up with no memory of their own identities or relationship. The two authors released it in three parts -- Never Never, Never Never: Part Two, and Never Never: Part Three -- originally as a self-published serial before it found a wider readership alongside Hoover's own surge in popularity. The collaboration paired Fisher's taste for unsettling psychological twists with Hoover's emotionally driven romance sensibility.

Fisher continues to publish suspense and romantic-suspense novels under her own name, maintaining the darker, more transgressive tone that distinguishes her from more conventional romance writers, and remains active in the same contemporary romance and thriller space that produced the Never Never collaboration.
