Roger Stelljes has written 19 books across 2 series. Start with McRyan Mystery.
Roger Stelljes is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling American thriller writer and lifelong Minnesotan who practices law full-time and writes in his free time. He self-published his debut novel, The St. Paul Conspiracy, in 2006, launching the McRyan Mystery series and building his readership the hard way -- through independent bookstore signings, book clubs, and library events across the Midwest -- before ebook sales carried the series to a much larger audience; it has since been downloaded several million times and translated into German, with the debut reaching the top of Amazon Germany's bestseller chart in 2014. Stelljes writes police-procedural mysteries and psychological thrillers rooted in real Minnesota geography, most notably the Twin Cities of the ten-book McRyan Mystery series and the fictional Lake Superior town of Manchester Bay in the ongoing Agent Tori Hunter series, published through UK digital-first imprint Bookouture since 2019 and now his most widely read work. Fellow Minnesota thriller writer Vince Flynn praised him early on as "a powerful new thriller voice," and his fiction is often compared to John Sandford's for its Twin Cities procedural setting. His accolades include Minnesota Book Award recognition and a Merit Award for Commercial Fiction from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association.
