Matt Soffe

Matt Soffe is a freelance comic colourist and illustrator originally from North West England, now based in California. Over roughly a decade of professional work he has coloured strips for 2000 AD and Judge Dredd Megazine -- including the Judge Dredd tie-in series Zombie Army: Last Rites -- and contributed to Heavy Metal Magazine and publishers including Z2 Comics, Accent UK, Soaring Penguin and Printed in Blood. His non-comics illustration work has included officially licensed Star Wars sketch cards for Topps and contributions to a 35th-anniversary art book for John Carpenter's The Thing. In this catalogue he appears as one of the illustration team, alongside P. J. Holden, Rob Jones and Pye Parr, credited on Derek Landy's Bad Magic (2023), the Skulduggery Pleasant series' first graphic novel -- a 144-page original story rather than an adaptation of the existing novels, and the first time the series' art was handed to a dedicated comics team rather than a single cover illustrator.
