Candice Fox
Candice Fox has written 21 books across 5 series. Start with Archer and Bennett.
Candice Fox is an Australian crime novelist known both for her own award-winning fiction and for her collaborations with James Patterson. She won the Ned Kelly Award for first fiction with her debut novel Hades, the start of the Sydney-set Archer and Bennett series co-featuring a detective and the daughter of a serial killer, and went on to write the Crimson Lake trilogy featuring a disgraced ex-detective working as a private investigator in tropical Queensland.
Fox partnered with Patterson on a run of internationally bestselling thrillers, including Never Never and its sequels, which introduced Detective Harriet Blue investigating crimes in the Australian outback, as well as other collaborative titles. Her solo work is distinguished by morally complex characters and a willingness to write from criminal perspectives, a quality that has drawn comparisons to some of the darker strands of contemporary crime fiction. Based in Sydney, Fox continues to alternate between her own acclaimed crime series and high-profile co-authored thrillers, making her one of the most visible Australian voices in international crime fiction publishing today.
