Boyd Morrison

Boyd Morrison has written 16 books across 3 series. Start with Oregon Files.

Boyd Morrison is an American novelist and former engineer who became one of Clive Cussler's collaborators on the Oregon Files series, continuing the adventures of Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the spy ship Oregon after joining the franchise. Morrison holds a PhD in industrial engineering and worked at Boeing and as a game designer before turning to fiction full-time, and his technical background feeds directly into the mechanically detailed, gadget-driven set pieces typical of the series. Before his Cussler partnership, Morrison wrote his own action-adventure thrillers, including the Tyler Locke series, which similarly combined engineering problem-solving with high-stakes adventure plotting, drawing favorable comparisons to Cussler's own work even before the two began collaborating. His entries in the Oregon Files have continued the series after Cussler's death in 2020, helping sustain the franchise's tradition of blending real-world history, exotic locations, and elaborate technical set pieces. Morrison remains an active thriller writer, balancing his own original series with ongoing contributions to Cussler's established franchises.
